National Overseas Scholarship for Minority community students 2019-20


Government of Karnataka through Directorate of Minorities has introduced a scheme for providing assistance to Minority students of Karnataka State in the form of Scholarship for pursuing higher studies abroad in Master Degree, Ph.D and Post Doctoral Courses etc., in prestigious Foreign Universities.

Subjects:

  1. Automation Robotics including Artificial Intelligence, Mechanotrics and Manufacturing Technology.
  2. Laser Technology
  3. Paper Technology
  4. Nava. Architecture/Offshore Structures/Architecture in General
  5. Information Technology including Computer Engineering Software, Software quality Assurance, Networking/Connectivity Engineering, Communication system, under hazardous or Post- Disaster conditions, Multimedia communication
  6. Low temprature Thermal Dynamics
  7. Optometry
  8. Art Restoration technology
  9. Ceramic and Glass Technology
  10. Dock and Harbour Engineering
  11. Bio-technology/ Genetic Engineering
  12. Industrial Safety
  13. Petroleum Technology
  14. Aircraft / Space Engineering
  15. Imaging System Technology
  16. Graphic Engineering
  17. Composite materials engineering including Decentralized power, Distribution system, Energy Storage Engineering, Energy Conservation, Energy efficient habitat Engineering
  18. Satellite or remote sensing
  19. Packaging Engineering/Technology
  20. Nuclear Engineering
  21. Medicine/Dental/Nursing/ Para-Medical
  22. Business Administration/ Management studies
  23. M.Phil/Ph.D in any area of applied Sciences., Basic Sciences, cultural and Historical Studies.

Selection Method:

Candidates after assessing their eligibility and suitability and as per conditions of the scheme shall apply to The Director, Directorate of Minorities, 21st Floor, V.V.Towers, Bengaluru-560001

  1. SSLC/10th Marks Card
  2. PUC Marks Card
  3. Degree Marks Card
  4. Degree Certificate
  5. Caste Certificate
  6. Residential Certificate
  7. Income Tax Returns of Father (If he is an income tax payee)
  8. Income Tax Returns of Mother (If she is an income tax payee)
  9. Income Tax Returns of Guardian (If he/se is an income tax payee)
  10. Personal Statement of Candidate
  11. Printout of ranking/rating of course/college
  12. Bank loans details
  13. Offer letter
  14. Visa copy
  15. Passport copy
  16. Cancelled Cheque Leaf
  17. Bank Pass book (Front page)
  18. Affidavit
  19. Candidate Photo with signature.

Eligibility:

Not more than one child of the same parent/Guardian will be eligible to this effect a self declaration will be required from the candidate.
Change of university if any by the candidate after counselling by selection committee will not be considered, after approval list by the Government.
Eligible and interested Minority Community students of Karnataka Domicile can only apply in the prescribed application online, along with required documents on the official website gokdom.kar.nic.in and submit the application along with documents (attested certificates and documents) to be uploaded at the Directorate of Minorities website.

The Last date to submit Hard copies of application is: 18-07-2019
